Calypso

Calypso’s colors and flow of design are inspired by the energy of the ocean’s movement, the sparkle of sun-kissed waves, and the beauty and mysteries of the ocean. By donating this sculpture for auction at Crystal Cove’s annual Soirée this past Saturday evening, I’ve been honored to reflect my passion for children’s education toward stewardship of the environment.

This important fundraising event, presented by Crystal Cove Conservancy, supports a unique educational experience for underserved schools in Orange County and beyond. These nationally-recognized programs immerse students and community members in the practice of conservation and open space management.

The Conservancy was founded in 1999 by Laura Davick to save Crystal Cove Historic District from being developed into a luxury resort property and is now on the National Register of Historic Places and one of California’s Historical Landmarks. Crystal Cove remains the area’s singular, unchanged place in the sun, a “jewel” of Southern California.
